The SANDVIK COROMANT 5765392 is a steel-body indexable insert drill designed for high-productivity hole-making in metal cutting applications. It accepts two drill inserts and delivers a maximum drill depth of 83.6 mm (3.29 inches) at a 4xD depth-to-diameter ratio. The 20 mm (0.858 inch) cutting diameter and 25 mm (0.984 inch) straight cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard CNC machining center toolholders. Right-hand cutting direction and through-coolant capability support consistent chip evacuation and extended insert life during deep drilling cycles. This tool is installed and set up by machining technicians and CNC operators working in production or job-shop environments.
This indexable insert drill fits conventional CNC turning centers, machining centers, and drill presses equipped to accept a 25 mm straight shank. It is suited for drilling in steel, cast iron, and similar workpiece materials where controlled hole depth and repeatable insert indexing are priorities. The CoroDrill 880 drill style 880..L-04 insert system governs insert selection. Flute length is 95.6 mm (3.76 inches), and body length is 84 mm (3.31 inches), keeping the tool compact for 4xD applications in confined setups.
Compatible with CoroDrill 880 drill style 880..L-04 inserts. Designed for use with toolholding systems accepting a 25 mm straight cylindrical shank on CNC machining centers and similar equipment.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool change mode is engaged before mounting or removing the drill body. Verify toolholder bore size and runout to maintain drilling accuracy and protect insert seating. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and insert supplier guidelines for recommended feed rates and spindle speeds when setting up this tool for first use.
