The SANDVIK COROMANT 5764624 is a modular grooving head designed for external grooving and parting operations in the CoroCut 1-2 system. This left-hand cutting head mounts to compatible CoroCut 1-2 modular shanks and accepts N123 size G inserts, specifically the N123G2-0300-GM. Built for system size 32, it delivers a maximum depth of cut of 4.00 mm (0.1575 inches) with a minimum groove width of 3.00 mm and a maximum groove width of 18.00 mm. Through-coolant capability directs cutting fluid directly to the cutting edge, supporting tool life and chip control in demanding grooving applications. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists are the primary installers.
This modular grooving head is suited for CNC lathes and turning centers running external grooving, profiling, and parting operations. The left-hand cutting direction makes it appropriate for applications where the tool approaches from the left relative to the workpiece. The CoroCut 1-2 modular interface allows rapid head changes without disturbing the shank setup, reducing changeover time in production environments. The head length projection is 14.00 mm (0.5512 inches), and the center-to-cutting-edge distance is 41.10 mm (1.6181 inches), both relevant for reach and clearance planning at setup.
Designed for use within the SANDVIK COROMANT CoroCut 1-2 modular system at system size 32. Compatible insert style is N123, size code G; complete insert compatibility is confirmed for the N123G2-0300-GM insert.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician familiar with modular turning systems. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a locked-out state before changing or torquing any modular head. Follow the torque and clamping procedures specified in the SANDVIK COROMANT CoroCut 1-2 system documentation for the size 32 interface. Verify through-coolant port alignment with the shank coolant channel before initiating a cut.
