It carries a dual PVD coating of TiAlN and TiCrAlN for extended wear resistance and thermal stability at the cutting edge. The insert produces Metric 60-degree threads at a 1.50 mm pitch and features an inscribed circle of 0.375 inches (9.53 mm) with a thickness of 0.1563 inches (3.97 mm). Manufacturer grade 1125 indicates a tough carbide substrate suited to a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. This insert is suited for internal threading on CNC turning centers in both production and job-shop environments. Installation and replacement of threading inserts should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine in a full stop and lockout/tagout procedures in place per applicable shop safety standards. Use the correct torx or hex key specified for the CoroThread 266 clamping screw to seat the insert securely without over-torquing the clamp. Inspect the insert seat and clamping components for chips or debris before seating the new insert. Verify thread pitch and hand orientation against the workpiece drawing before initiating the threading cycle.
