The insert carries a CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN, a combination that provides wear resistance, thermal stability, and crater resistance across a range of cutting conditions. It features a 35-degree diamond (V) shape with a neutral hand orientation, a 0.6223-inch cutting edge length, and a 3/8-inch inscribed circle. With an MR chip breaker geometry and 1/32-inch corner radius, it is optimized for stainless steel machining at moderate to light depths of cut. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this insert.
The 5755774 is suited for continuous and semi-interrupted turning of stainless steel workpieces, classified under ISO workpiece material code M. The CoroTurn 107 series is engineered for external and internal turning, profiling, and finishing passes where chip control and surface finish are priorities. The insert seats via screw clamping in compatible VBMT-style toolholders. It is applicable in job shop, production, and aerospace or food-grade component machining environments where stainless steel is a common workpiece material.

Insert installation and indexing should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician with the machine in a full stop, locked-out condition. Use the appropriate torx or hex key specified by the toolholder manufacturer when tightening the clamping screw — do not over-torque, as this can fracture the carbide substrate. Inspect the toolholder pocket for chips or debris before seating the insert. Confirm ISO designation and size code match the toolholder specification before starting a cut.
