It carries a TiCrAlN and TiAlN PVD coating applied over a grade 1125 carbide substrate, delivering strong wear resistance and thermal stability at elevated cutting speeds. The insert features a 1.98 mm (0.0780 inch) cutting width, a maximum depth of cut of 2.39 mm (0.0940 inch), and a neutral rake geometry with a 10-degree rake angle. A corner radius of 0.19 mm (0.0075 inch) supports controlled chip formation on steel, stainless, and similar workpiece materials. This insert is installed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians on production turning equipment.
This insert is intended for use in the Sandvik Coromant Top Lok grooving system, TLGP-style insert seats, size 3. It is suited for grooving, recessing, and parting applications in both production and job-shop environments where consistent groove width and depth control are required. The insert is configured for right-hand cutting orientation. Insert replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the machine powered down and the spindle locked.
