The SANDVIK COROMANT 5752200 is a TCMT-style triangular turning insert from the CoroTurn 107 series, designed for external turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It features a solid carbide substrate with a dual-layer TiAlN and AlCr2O3 PVD coating in the manufacturer grade 1125, which supports elevated cutting speeds and wear resistance. The insert has a 60-degree included angle, a 7/32-inch (0.2188-inch) inscribed circle, a 0.20 mm corner radius, and a neutral hand orientation. The MF chip breaker geometry is engineered for medium finishing passes. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert class as a direct screw-held replacement on compatible toolholders.
This insert is suited for finish and light-to-medium turning of steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium in both industrial production and job-shop environments. The MF geometry performs well in applications requiring tight tolerances and controlled chip formation on ISO material groups P, M, and S. Maximum depth of cut reaches 9.17 mm (0.361 inch). The insert length is 9.37 mm (0.3689 inch) and insert thickness is 2.38 mm (3/32 inch). Applications span automotive, aerospace, and general machining where surface finish consistency is critical.
Designed for use in SANDVIK COROMANT CoroTurn 107 series toolholders that accept TCMT-style inserts with a 7/32-inch inscribed circle and screw-held mounting. ISO code TCMT 09 02 02-MF 1125 identifies compatible toolholder bore and pocket specifications.
Insert replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine spindle stopped and all axes in a safe park position. Use the manufacturer-specified torx or hex key to seat the clamping screw to toolholder specification — do not overtighten or use impact drivers. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before seating each new insert edge. Dispose of worn inserts per applicable shop safety and sharps-handling procedures.
