The SANDVIK COROMANT 5751432 is a solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries a TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN multilayer coating under manufacturer grade 2025, which provides wear resistance and thermal protection during continuous and interrupted cuts. The insert follows ISO code SPUN 19 04 12 2025 and uses a square shape with a 90-degree included angle, a 3/4-inch inscribed circle, and a 3/64-inch corner radius. A clearance code of P and tolerance code of U define its geometry. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert as a standard tooling consumable in production turning operations.
This insert suits medium to general-purpose turning applications on steel, cast iron, and similar ferrous materials. The SPUN insert style with an 11-degree relief angle supports free cutting and is well matched to external and internal turning passes where controlled chip formation is needed. Its clamp-style holding method is compatible with standard SPUN-format toolholders. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units and is appropriate for both production shop environments and job shop use where consistent dimensional accuracy across high insert volumes is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement turning insert for use in SPUN-format clamp-style toolholders accepting a 3/4-inch inscribed circle square insert. Verify toolholder seat geometry and insert size code 633 compatibility before installation.
This insert is installed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Always power down and lock out the machine before changing inserts. Use the correct torque wrench and clamp screw specified by the toolholder manufacturer to secure the insert - do not overtighten by hand. Inspect the insert seat for chips or debris before seating the new insert to ensure proper contact and dimensional accuracy.
