The SANDVIK COROMANT 5750127 is a solid carbide turning insert in the SNMG432-MM geometry, designed for use on CNC lathes and turning centers machining stainless steel and other difficult-to-cut materials. The insert features a CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN, which provides wear resistance and thermal stability at the cutting edge. With a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, a 0.4685-inch cutting edge length, and a 1/32-inch corner radius, this insert delivers consistent performance in medium to roughing turning operations. It is installed by machinists and CNC operators using clamp or pin holding methods.
This insert is suited for turning operations on stainless steel workpieces in production machining environments, including aerospace, medical, and general manufacturing applications. The MM chip breaker geometry is optimized for stainless steel to manage chip flow and reduce built-up edge. The SNMG432-MM 2025 belongs to the SANDVIK COROMANT T-Max P series, which is engineered for external and internal turning on a wide range of materials. Each insert provides 8 usable cutting edges, making it cost-effective for high-volume shops running dedicated turning programs.
Designed for use in SNMG-style toolholders that accept the SNMG 12 04 08 insert format (ISO code SNMG 12 04 08-MM 2025). Compatible with clamp and pin holding systems. Part of the SANDVIK COROMANT T-Max P series. Consult SANDVIK COROMANT toolholder documentation to confirm holder compatibility before installation.
This insert is installed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torque wrench per the toolholder manufacturer's specifications when securing the clamp or pin. Handle carbide inserts with care to avoid chipping the cutting edge; use gloves and avoid contact between inserts.
