The SANDVIK COROMANT 5740094 is an indexable square-shoulder face mill engineered for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built around the CoroMill 245 platform, this cutter accepts 7 inserts of the R245-12T3.. style and delivers a maximum cutting depth of 0.24 inches (6.10 mm) at a 45-degree lead angle with a positive rake geometry. The 4-inch cutting diameter and 1-1/2-inch arbor hole make it a practical choice for medium to large milling setups on machining centers and horizontal mills. Insert retention is handled through a clamp and screw holding method, providing rigid, repeatable tool positioning during high-feed operations. The cutter body is constructed from steel and runs in a right-hand cutting direction.
This face mill is intended for use in production machining environments where square-shoulder profiling, face milling, and shoulder milling operations are performed on ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials.
