The SANDVIK COROMANT 5737064 is a solid carbide cutoff insert designed for parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It features a 3.00 mm cutting width, a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, and a 5E chipbreaker geometry. The N151.2 insert style seats into compatible T-Max Q-Cut toolholders using a clamp-style holding method. A neutral hand and neutral lead angle make it suitable for straight-in parting cuts. The 7-degree relief angle and 0.20 mm corner radius support clean chip formation and edge stability on a range of workpiece materials. This insert is installed by CNC machinists and toolroom technicians in production and job-shop environments.
This insert fits within the T-Max Q-Cut series system and is intended for parting and grooving applications on bar stock, turned components, and similar workpieces in both production and maintenance machining environments. Insert size code 30 and seat size 30 define the compatible toolholder pocket. The N151.2 style and 1125 manufacturer grade are selected for applications where a PVD-coated solid carbide insert provides the required edge toughness and wear resistance. This is a replacement insert sold individually; minimum order quantity is 10 pieces per order.
Designed for use in T-Max Q-Cut series toolholders with insert seat size 30 and N151.2 insert style pockets. Consult toolholder documentation to confirm pocket geometry and clamping compatibility before installation.
Insert replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and all axes at a safe position. Use the appropriate insert clamp key or torx driver specified for the toolholder to seat and secure the insert without over-torquing the clamp screw. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping components for wear or debris before seating a new insert. Follow the toolholder manufacturer guidelines for insert indexing and replacement intervals.
