The SANDVIK COROMANT 5729606 is a modular turning profiling head designed for use in the T-Max P system. It accepts CNMG 120408 inserts held by a wedge-style clamping mechanism, delivering consistent insert seating on demanding profiling operations. The head measures 65 mm (2.559 inches) in projection length with a neck diameter of 63 mm (2.480 inches) and a center-to-cutting-edge distance of 45 mm (1.772 inches). Through-coolant capability directs fluid directly to the cutting zone, extending insert life and improving chip evacuation. This head is configured for right-hand cutting and is suitable for both internal and external turning applications. It is installed and used by CNC machinists and toolroom technicians working in production turning environments.
The 5729606 profiling head is intended for modular turning setups where the T-Max P system is in use. It supports a minimum hole diameter of 110 mm (4.331 inches) and a maximum hole depth of 65 mm (2.559 inches), making it appropriate for larger-bore internal profiling as well as external contour work. The C6 system size and head connection size 20 determine which compatible shanks and couplings this head can be mounted to. Facilities running high-volume or precision profile turning on CNC lathes and turning centers will find this head suited to those applications.

Verify through-coolant passages are clear and that machine coolant pressure meets the tooling system requirements before commencing cuts.
