The SANDVIK COROMANT 5727695 is a modular turning profiling head designed for internal turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Part of the T-Max P series, this right-hand cutting head features a C4 connection size and a head length projection of 50 millimeters (1.969 inches). It accepts WNMG 080408 inserts secured by a wedge clamping method, delivering rigid, repeatable insert location for profiling internal bores. Through-coolant capability directs cutting fluid directly to the cutting zone, supporting tool life and chip evacuation in deep-bore applications. The neck diameter is 40 millimeters (1.575 inches), and the center-to-cutting-edge distance is 27 millimeters (1.063 inches). Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists install this head as part of a modular boring bar assembly.
This profiling head is suited for internal turning and profiling in bores with a minimum hole diameter of 110 millimeters (4.331 inches) and a maximum hole depth of 50 millimeters (1.969 inches). It is used in production and job-shop environments where modular tooling systems allow rapid head changes between operations without removing the entire boring bar from the machine. The C4 interface connects to compatible Coromant Capto or equivalent C4-standard shanks and extensions. Applications include finishing and profiling passes on steel, cast iron, and similar workpiece materials in medium to large bore diameters.
Designed for use with WNMG 080408 inserts on C4-interface modular turning systems. Minimum bore diameter for use is 110 millimeters (4.331 inches).
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing any modular tooling head. Ensure mating C4 connection surfaces are clean and free of chips or burrs before assembly, and torque the clamping mechanism per the tooling system manufacturer specifications. Verify through-coolant passages are unobstructed before returning the machine to service.
