The SANDVIK COROMANT 5726619 is a solid carbide single point threading tool designed for internal thread cutting on CNC lathes and turning centers. It handles a minimum threading diameter of 0.2441 inches and covers a range of 36 to 40 threads per inch (TPI) with a 60-degree profile angle. The tool carries a TiAlN and Titanium Nitride coating for thermal resistance and extended tool life during high-speed threading operations. Overall length is 1.4685 inches, with a projection from edge of 0.5906 inches and a maximum cutting depth of 0.0217 inches. Machinists and CNC operators install this tool in precision threading applications requiring tight thread geometry and consistent finish.
This tool is suited for internal threading in small-bore applications in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where fine-pitch threads in the 36 to 40 TPI range are required. Typical applications include precision instrument components, hydraulic fittings, and small mechanical assemblies machined on CNC turning equipment. The solid carbide construction supports use in production environments where rigidity and dimensional repeatability are priorities. No coolant-through capability is present, so flood or mist external coolant delivery is the standard approach for heat management during threading passes.
Designed as an OEM-style single point threading insert for use in compatible SANDVIK COROMANT and industry-standard internal threading toolholders configured for this shank and projection geometry.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine spindle fully stopped and all motion inhibited per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Verify that the toolholder bore and clamping mechanism are clean and free of chips before seating the tool. Set tool projection and center height per the machine setup sheet before taking threading passes. External coolant should be directed at the cutting zone when coolant-through is not available, as this tool does not support through-tool coolant delivery.
