The SANDVIK COROMANT 5726336 is a boring and grooving bar holder designed for precision internal turning and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It features a 5mm inside diameter, a 1.0000-inch outside diameter, and an overall length of 110mm (4.3310 inches). The 25.40mm head diameter and through-coolant capability make it well-suited for tight-tolerance work where chip evacuation and heat control are critical. This holder is part of the CoroTurn XS series, which targets small-diameter internal machining applications. It is installed by CNC machinists and tooling specialists on production and job-shop turning equipment.
This holder is intended for small-bore internal turning and grooving operations where access is restricted and precision is required. The CoroTurn XS series is engineered for machining small components and miniature parts on sliding-head and fixed-head lathes as well as standard turning centers. Through-coolant delivery supports extended tool life and improved surface finish in both continuous and interrupted cuts. The compact geometry makes it appropriate for production environments running small-diameter bores in steel, stainless, and other machinable alloys.
Designed for use with the SANDVIK COROMANT CoroTurn XS series tooling system. Verify spindle and turret interface compatibility with your specific turning center or sliding-head lathe before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or lockout state before mounting or removing the holder. Use calibrated torque tooling when securing the bar holder to the turret to maintain concentricity and avoid fretting. Confirm through-coolant passages are clear and aligned with the machine coolant supply before running the first cycle.
