Insert indexing and replacement is performed by qualified machinists following machine shop lockout and energy isolation procedures before accessing the turret or toolholder. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key to release and re-seat the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified procedure. Inspect the toolholder pocket seating surface for wear or debris before seating the new insert. Do not force the insert into the pocket; proper seating ensures edge geometry accuracy and safe clamping.
