The SAIT 71219 is a Type 27 coated flap disc designed for grinding and blending on metal surfaces. It uses a zirconia alumina abrasive bonded to a poly-cotton backing, which delivers consistent cut rate and extended disc life compared to standard aluminum oxide flap discs. The disc measures 4.5 inches in diameter with a 5/8-11 threaded arbor hole for direct mounting to standard angle grinders. At 80 grit, it falls in the medium grade range, making it well suited for weld blending, surface conditioning, and light stock removal. Rated to 13,300 RPM maximum.
