The SAIT 24500 is a Type 01/41 resinoid-bonded aluminum oxide cut-off wheel built for chop saw applications on steel. At 14 inches in diameter and 3/32 inches thick, it offers a narrow kerf that reduces material waste and heat buildup during cuts. The 1-inch arbor hole fits standard chop saw spindles, and the reinforced construction keeps the wheel intact under the lateral and radial stresses typical of production cutting. Maximum rated speed is 4400 RPM. This wheel is suited for metal fabricators, ironworkers, pipe fitters, and maintenance technicians who run stationary chop saws in shop or field environments.
The SAIT 24500 is designed for cutting steel in both shop and on-site settings using a stationary chop saw. Its aluminum oxide abrasive delivers consistent bite on mild steel, structural steel, and pipe. The 14-inch diameter is the standard size for most industrial chop saws in this class. Sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 10 units per order, making it practical for stocking a shop supply of consumable cutting wheels.
Designed for use with chop saws rated for 14-inch Type 01/41 cut-off wheels with a 1-inch arbor and a maximum operating speed of 4400 RPM or lower. Intended application is steel cutting.
Mounting and replacement of cut-off wheels should be performed by a qualified operator following ANSI B7.1 safety standards for the use, care, and protection of abrasive wheels. Always power down and lock out the chop saw before changing wheels. Inspect the wheel for cracks, chips, or damage before mounting - never use a damaged wheel. Confirm the machine's rated speed does not exceed the 4400 RPM maximum marked on the wheel.
