The SAIT 23060 is a Type 1 (01/41) resinoid-bonded cut-off wheel designed for fast, straight cutting on steel and stainless steel. It measures 3 inches in diameter with a 1/8-inch thickness and a 3/8-inch arbor hole, making it compatible with small angle grinders and rotary cut-off tools commonly used in fabrication, maintenance, and mechanical trades. The wheel is reinforced aluminum oxide abrasive rated at 24 grit with a hardness code of R, and carries a maximum operating speed of 20,372 RPM. It is well suited for tasks that require a rigid, narrow kerf cutting disc on ferrous and non-ferrous alloy workpieces.
This cut-off wheel is intended for use on steel and stainless steel in light fabrication, HVAC sheet metal work, plumbing rough-in, and general mechanical repair applications. Its compact 3-inch diameter makes it a natural fit for die grinders and small right-angle grinders used in tight spaces or on tubing, pipe, and structural sections. The resinoid bond holds the aluminum oxide grain firmly during high-speed operation, supporting consistent cut quality throughout the wheel's life. Tradespeople in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical contracting who regularly cut pipe, strut, and sheet metal will find this a practical single-use or low-volume cutting disc.
Designed for use on steel and stainless steel with small angle grinders and die grinders accepting a 3/8-inch arbor and operating at or below 20,372 RPM.
Installation and use of cut-off wheels must comply with ANSI B7.1 safety standards and the tool manufacturer's guard and speed requirements. Always verify the tool's rated RPM does not exceed the wheel's 20,372 RPM maximum before mounting. Inspect the wheel for cracks or damage before each use and never mount a damaged wheel. Appropriate eye protection, face shield, and gloves are required; ensure workpiece is secured before beginning the cut.
