The SAIT 20060 is a Type 27 depressed center grinding wheel designed for aggressive stock removal on ferrous metals. It measures 4.5 inches in diameter with a 0.25 inch thickness and a 0.875 inch arbor hole, making it a standard fit for most 4.5 inch angle grinders. The wheel uses aluminum oxide abrasive bonded with a resinoid bond rated at hardness code N (medium). At 24 grit, it falls in the very coarse grade range, which is suited for fast material removal rather than finishing. Maximum operating speed is 13,300 RPM. The wheel is reinforced for added durability under lateral load during grinding. Fabricators, welders, pipefitters, and ironworkers are the primary installers of this consumable.
