The SAFCO PRODUCTS 7749BL is a heavy-duty sorting table base designed for high-volume mail sorting, shipping, and distribution work areas. Built on extra-thick 1.5-inch steel legs, this base supports up to 500 pounds of working load. The table surface height adjusts from 28 inches to 36 inches, making it adaptable to standing or seated workflows and ergonomic positioning for different operators. An integrated lower shelf provides 14 inches of clearance and an independent 150-pound capacity for bins, supplies, or additional sorting materials. This base is sold without a tabletop and is intended for use with a compatible sorting surface purchased separately.
This sorting table base suits mailrooms, shipping departments, warehouses, and distribution centers in both commercial and light industrial settings. It is particularly well-suited for facilities that process large volumes of incoming or outgoing mail, packages, or documents. The adjustable-height design supports installations where multiple workers share a single station. Facilities managers, office administrators, and warehouse operators typically spec and install this unit. The tabletop is not included and must be ordered separately. SAFCO PRODUCTS model 7750GR is noted in the product documentation as a compatible tabletop option.
Designed for use with the SAFCO PRODUCTS 7750GR sorting tabletop, sold separately. The base and top are sold as independent components to allow flexible configuration.
Assembly and leveling of this table base should be performed on a flat, stable floor surface capable of supporting the combined weight of the unit and its full rated load. No power tools or electrical shutoffs are required for standard assembly. Verify all height-adjustment locking mechanisms are fully engaged before placing any load on the surface. Installers should confirm the final height setting meets applicable ergonomic guidelines for the intended work task before putting the station into service.
