The RWC UC600LFA is a SharkBite PEX barb sweat female adapter designed to connect copper sweat (female) pipe to PEX tubing in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. Constructed from lead-free DZR brass, this fitting resists dezincification and corrosion in potable water environments. It accepts both a stainless steel clamp system and a copper crimp ring system on the PEX side, giving installers flexibility based on available tooling. The female sweat end connects to standard copper pipe. This adapter is rated for potable water distribution and hydronic heating applications, meeting ASTM F1807, NSF/ANSI 61, and NSF 372 standards.
This fitting is used in residential and light commercial water distribution systems where a transition from copper pipe to PEX tubing is required. It is well suited for hydronic radiant heating installations and potable water supply lines. Installers working in new construction or retrofit applications use this adapter to make reliable, pressure-rated transitions without soldering on the PEX side. Clamp rings and crimp rings are sold separately.
Designed for use with 1/2 inch PEX tubing in potable water distribution and hydronic heating systems. Compatible with stainless steel clamp-style and copper crimp-ring PEX connection methods per ASTM F1807.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before beginning work. The female sweat end requires standard soldering practices on the copper side; follow safe torch and flux procedures. Crimp rings or clamp rings on the PEX side require the appropriate sizing tool and are sold separately.
