The RWC UC412LFA is a reducing PEX barb tee fitting manufactured by SharkBite for use in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. This brass fitting connects 3/4-inch PEX lines on the run with a 1/2-inch barb outlet on the branch, allowing controlled pipe-size reduction at a single junction point. It is compatible with both stainless steel clamp ring systems and copper crimp ring systems, giving installers flexibility depending on the tool set on hand. Approved for potable water distribution and hydronic heating applications, the UC412LFA meets ASTM F1807, NSF/ANSI 61, and NSF 372 standards. Plumbers and pipefitters handle routine installation.
This fitting is suited for residential potable water distribution and hydronic heating systems where a branch line steps down from 3/4-inch to 1/2-inch PEX. Typical scenarios include splitting a main distribution line to feed a fixture supply line or a baseboard radiator branch. The fitting works with standard PEX-A, PEX-B, and PEX-C tubing when used with the appropriate clamp or crimp ring tooling. Sold individually as a single unit.
Compatible with PEX tubing in potable water distribution and hydronic heating systems. Suitable for use with stainless steel clamp ring systems or copper crimp ring systems; clamp and crimp tools and rings are sold separately.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into existing PEX runs. Use the correct crimp or clamp ring tool rated for the fitting size to ensure a leak-free connection. Do not overtighten or deform the barb during assembly.
