The RWC UC016LFA10 is a lead-free DZR brass PEX barb coupling designed to join PEX tubing in potable water distribution and hydronic heating systems. The fitting measures 3/4 inch barb on each end, providing a straightforward inline connection without specialty tooling. Constructed from dezincification-resistant brass and certified lead-free under NSF 372, this coupling meets the material and health standards required for drinking water contact. Plumbers and hydronic installers use this fitting as a low-cost, reliable option for PEX-to-PEX connections in residential and light commercial piping.
This coupling is suited for residential potable water distribution lines and hydronic heating applications where PEX tubing is the pipe material of choice. It is compatible with both stainless steel clamp ring systems and copper crimp ring systems, giving installers flexibility to use whichever tool and ring system they already carry. Clamp rings and crimp rings are each sold separately. The 3/4 inch barb-by-barb configuration makes it a direct inline splice fitting for standard 3/4 inch PEX tubing runs.
Designed for use with 3/4 inch PEX tubing in stainless steel clamp ring or copper crimp ring systems. Suitable for potable water distribution and hydronic heating applications. Clamp and crimp tools and rings are sold separately.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified installers following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before cutting into any existing line. Insert the barbed ends fully into the PEX tubing and secure each end with the appropriate clamp ring or crimp ring using the correct sizing tool. Do not mix crimp and clamp hardware on the same fitting connection.
