The RWC U710 is a plastic disconnect clip designed to release 1/2 inch SharkBite-style push-fit plumbing fittings without damaging the fitting or the pipe. The clip slides around the pipe and into the fitting collar, depressing the release ring evenly so the pipe can be withdrawn cleanly. It is a standard service tool used by plumbers and pipefitters when disconnecting push-fit joints on PEX, copper, CPVC, and PE-RT piping systems. The U710 is sized specifically for 1/2 inch fittings and is made from plastic construction suited for repeated use in tight spaces.
The U710 disconnect clip is used in residential and light commercial plumbing applications wherever push-fit fittings are installed. Common scenarios include fixture rough-in, manifold work, water heater connections, and repair situations where a fitting must be removed and reused or replaced. The clip is particularly useful in confined spaces such as wall cavities, under sinks, and in mechanical rooms where finger access to the fitting collar is limited. No special preparation of the pipe or fitting is required before use.
Designed as an OEM-style release tool for 1/2 inch push-fit plumbing fittings commonly used in residential and light commercial water distribution systems.
Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before disconnecting any push-fit fitting. Slide the U710 clip fully into the fitting collar before pulling back on the pipe to avoid damaging the internal collet. This tool is installed and used by licensed plumbers working under applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Inspect the pipe end for burrs or debris before reconnecting to any push-fit fitting after removal.
