The RWC U444LFA is a SharkBite Max push-to-connect reducing tee fitting designed for fast, tool-free pipe connections in plumbing systems. It connects 3/4 inch pipe on both run ports to a 1/2 inch branch port, delivering a rated burst pressure of 250 psi. The stainless-steel retainer ring grips the pipe securely without soldering, clamps, glue, or special tools. The re-engineered fitting body requires roughly half the insertion effort of first-generation SharkBite fittings and does not require a PEX tube liner. Licensed plumbers and experienced DIYers install this fitting in residential water distribution systems where speed and reliability matter.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where the branch line steps down from a 3/4 inch main run to a 1/2 inch takeoff. Compatible pipe types include PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT, and HDPE. The fitting can be rotated after installation for easy alignment adjustments. When a change is needed, a standard SharkBite disconnect tool removes the fitting cleanly, allowing it to be reused or repositioned without damaging the pipe.
Compatible with PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT, and HDPE pipe. Inlet and outlet port sizes are 3/4 inch by 1/2 inch by 3/4 inch. Designed as a drop-in replacement or new-installation fitting in residential and light commercial plumbing systems.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified tradespeople. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting or fitting. Cut pipe ends must be clean, square, and deburred to the depth mark before insertion. No soldering, crimping tools, or pipe thread sealant are required. Follow local plumbing codes, including IPC requirements, for fitting type and application suitability.
