The RWC U416LF is a lead-free brass reducing tee fitting designed for push-fit installation in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. It connects two 1-inch runs while reducing to a 3/4-inch branch, allowing a single fitting to serve main-line and branch connections without soldering, crimping, or threading. The push-fit end style accepts pipe insertion and locks in place using an internal stainless steel grab ring and an EPDM O-ring seal. Plumbers and pipefitters install this tee where quick, reliable connections are required on copper, CPVC, or PEX pipe.
This reducing tee is suited for potable water distribution lines in residential new construction and retrofit applications. The 1 x 1 x 3/4 inch nominal configuration is commonly found at branch-off points in main water supply runs, where a full 1-inch main must continue while a 3/4-inch feed serves a fixture group or appliance. The lead-free brass construction meets requirements for use in drinking water systems under applicable plumbing codes.
Designed as an OEM-style push-fit replacement fitting for use in residential and light commercial potable water distribution systems where 1-inch and 3/4-inch nominal pipe sizes intersect.
Licensed plumbers should install this fitting in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC standards. Shut off the water supply and fully depressurize and drain the line before cutting pipe and inserting the fitting. Ensure pipe ends are cut square, deburred, and clean before full insertion to the depth mark to achieve a proper seal. Use a push-fit disconnect clip or removal tool if the fitting must be removed after installation.
