The RWC 23061LF is a 1/2-inch push-to-connect (barb) x 1/2-inch male NPT brass straight stop valve designed for use in potable water distribution systems. It uses the SharkBite barb connection system, which allows fast, tool-free joining of PEX tubing without soldering or crimping. The body is constructed from DZR (dezincification-resistant) brass, which resists corrosion in water distribution environments. NSF-certified for use in potable water systems, this valve is a practical choice when lower material cost is a project priority. Licensed plumbers and experienced installers use this fitting in both residential and light commercial plumbing applications.
This straight stop valve is suited for PEX water distribution systems where a shutoff point is needed at fixtures or appliance connections. The 1/2-inch CF inlet accepts PEX tubing via the SharkBite barb push-to-connect method, while the 1/2-inch male NPT outlet threads directly onto standard fixtures, supply lines, or valves. It is commonly installed at under-sink shutoffs, toilet supply connections, and similar low-pressure service points.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for residential and light commercial PEX water distribution systems using 1/2-inch tubing with standard 1/2-inch male NPT fixture connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Always shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before installing or removing the fitting. For the NPT threaded outlet, apply thread sealant tape or compound per code requirements before making up the connection. Verify that PEX tubing is cut cleanly and squarely before inserting into the barb inlet to ensure a proper seal.
