The RW BECKETT 14483 is a duplex bushing slip-through fitting designed to connect a 3/8-inch compression line to a 1/2-inch male pipe thread (MPT) port. This small-diameter transition fitting is used in oil burner fuel supply systems, where a secure, leak-free connection between copper tubing and threaded fittings is required. Licensed oil burner technicians and plumbers install this type of component when routing fuel lines to Beckett oil burner assemblies. The slip-through design allows tubing to pass through the fitting body before compression, providing a clean and repeatable seal without solder or adhesive.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial oil heating applications where 3/8-inch copper compression tubing must terminate at a 1/2-inch MPT connection point. It is commonly installed on or near Beckett oil burner fuel supply inlets, filter housings, or fuel pump ports. The slip-through configuration simplifies rough-in and is particularly useful in tight equipment spaces where straight tubing runs are needed.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement fitting for Beckett oil burner fuel supply systems requiring a 3/8-inch compression to 1/2-inch MPT transition connection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed oil burner technician or qualified plumber in accordance with applicable local codes and NFPA 31 fuel oil piping requirements. Shut off the fuel supply and relieve any line pressure before disassembling existing connections. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as this can deform the tubing ferrule and cause leaks. After installation, inspect all connections for fuel tightness before returning the system to service.
