The RUUD wh1ay2417stannj is a multipurpose air handler from the Endeavor Line, rated at 24,000 BTU/h (2 tons nominal) and designed for single-phase, 208 to 240 volt residential and light-commercial split systems. It uses R-454B refrigerant and includes a factory-installed thermal expansion valve (TXV) for precise refrigerant metering. The cabinet is insulated with 1.0 inch of foil-faced insulation for reduced sound transmission. The indoor coil is constructed of aluminum fins bonded to internally grooved aluminum tubing, providing enhanced corrosion resistance. Licensed HVAC technicians install this unit as the indoor section of a split-system heat pump or air conditioning system.
This air handler is built for flexible residential and light-commercial installations where space is limited. The 4-way convertible design supports upflow, downflow, horizontal left, and horizontal right configurations without requiring a different cabinet. Field-installed auxiliary electric heater kits are compatible for applications that require supplemental or backup heat. The blower motor operates across a 300 to 1,100 RPM range with four selectable speeds, delivering airflow from 600 CFM on low to 800 CFM on high to match a range of duct system requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style indoor air handler for residential and light-commercial split-system heat pump and air conditioning applications requiring a 24,000 BTU/h nominal capacity unit operating on R-454B refrigerant.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the manufacturer installation instructions. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before servicing or making wiring connections. Verify that the supply circuit is sized to meet the 3-amp minimum circuit ampacity and does not exceed the 15-amp maximum overcurrent protection rating. Select the appropriate airflow orientation and secure the cabinet before making refrigerant line, condensate, and electrical connections.
