The RUUD RCF3624MTAMCA is a 3-ton cased evaporator coil engineered for use with gas and oil furnaces in residential and light-commercial HVAC systems. Rated at 36,000 BTU/h, the coil ships with a factory-installed TXV metering device and is compatible with both R-22 and R-410A refrigerants, as well as standard air conditioning and heat pump configurations. The cabinet is fully lined with 5/8-inch foil-faced insulation and features Intertek-tested cabinet air leakage of 1% or less for improved system efficiency. Licensed HVAC technicians are the primary installers for this component.
This multi-position coil is designed for residential gas or oil furnace applications where flexible orientation is required. The cased cabinet can be installed in upflow, downflow, or horizontal configurations to suit a wide range of system layouts. High-efficiency lanced fin design supports strong heat transfer performance across typical residential load conditions. The coil measures 21.75 inches wide, 24.5 inches in height, and 32.5 inches in depth, making it suitable for standard furnace installations where a short-cabinet profile is preferred.
Designed as an OEM-style cased evaporator coil replacement for residential gas and oil furnace systems requiring a 3-ton, multi-position coil with TXV metering and R-410A or R-22 compatibility.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and manufacturer guidelines. Shut down power to the air handler and close all refrigerant service valves before beginning coil replacement. Refrigerant lines require brazing; follow EPA Section 608 requirements for refrigerant handling and recovery. Verify condensate drain lines are properly pitched and connected before restoring system operation.
