The RUST-OLEUM HS9303604 is a pint-sized activator component for the Rust-Oleum 9300 Series High Performance primer system. This two-component product works alongside the base primer to deliver a high-solids coating designed for aggressive, corrosion-prone environments. The activator initiates the chemical cure that produces a hard, durable film suitable for structural steel, industrial tanks, vehicles, and other metal substrates exposed to severe conditions. It is ordered and applied separately from the base component and is not a stand-alone coating. Coating applicators and industrial painters working in coastal, offshore, or chemically aggressive environments rely on this system for long-term corrosion control.
This activator is formulated for use within the Rust-Oleum 9300 High Performance primer system, which is then topcoated with the 9400 System High Gloss Polyester Urethane. Typical applications include vehicles, structural steel fabrications, storage tanks, and equipment operating in severe coastal, offshore, or chemically aggressive environments. The cured primer system is also noted to meet USDA requirements for incidental food contact and is accepted for use in federally registered Canadian food facilities, making it relevant to food-processing facility maintenance work.
Designed for use with the Rust-Oleum 9300 Series High Performance primer base component and intended for topcoating with the 9400 System High Gloss Polyester Urethane. The base color and activator must be ordered separately.
This product is a chemical activator for a two-component coating system and must be mixed with the matching base component in the correct ratio before application — consult the product technical data sheet for mix ratios and pot life. Application should be performed by experienced coating applicators or industrial painters following surface preparation standards appropriate to the substrate and environment. Ensure adequate ventilation and use appropriate respiratory protection as required by local safety regulations when mixing and applying two-component urethane coatings. Do not apply to surfaces outside the temperature and humidity ranges specified in the technical data sheet, as improper cure conditions will compromise film performance.
