The RUST-OLEUM 9483402 is a two-component, high-gloss polyester urethane topcoat formulated for maximum corrosion protection in severe service environments. Part of the 9400 System, this 1-gallon unit delivers ultra-high-gloss gray finish with strong resistance to impact, abrasion, and aggressive chemicals including muriatic acid. The coating is designed for trade and industrial applicators working on structures exposed to coastal, offshore, or chemically harsh conditions. A separate activator is required to catalyze the system before application. Weight is approximately 10.98 pounds per gallon unit.
This coating is suited for use on vehicles, structural steel, tanks, and similar substrates in severe coastal, offshore, or aggressively corrosive environments. It meets USDA requirements for incidental food contact and is accepted for use in federally registered Canadian food facilities, making it applicable to food processing and industrial facility work. The 9400 System is intended for professional applicators in industrial maintenance, marine, and heavy commercial coating projects where long-term gloss and corrosion resistance are required specifications.
Designed for use within the RUST-OLEUM 9400 System. Recommended for use with 9400 System Primers, 9400 System Accelerator, and 9400 System Leveling Additive. A compatible 9400 System activator must be ordered separately to complete the two-component mix.
Application should be performed by experienced coating or industrial maintenance professionals familiar with two-component urethane systems. Mix ratios must be followed precisely per the product data sheet before application. Ensure adequate ventilation and appropriate respiratory protection when applying catalyzed urethane coatings. Surface preparation, including priming with a compatible 9400 System primer, is required for proper adhesion and corrosion resistance performance.
