The RUST-OLEUM 9192402 is a two-component epoxy mastic coating formulated for direct-to-metal application on steel and concrete surfaces. Supplied in a 1-gallon can with a gloss white finish, this coating delivers a tough, corrosion-resistant film used in industrial and commercial maintenance painting. Coverage ranges from 100 to 225 square feet per gallon depending on surface porosity and application method. An activator is required but not included. Application temperatures must fall between 50 degrees F and 120 degrees F for proper cure. Licensed painters, industrial maintenance techs, and facility contractors apply this product in both indoor and outdoor environments.
This epoxy mastic is suited for rust-preventative applications on exposed metal structures, equipment housings, concrete floors, and steel substrates in commercial and industrial settings. It performs indoors and outdoors, making it appropriate for maintenance coating on structural steel, machinery, and architectural concrete. Compatible activators include part numbers 07836737, 00243543, 00243568, and 00243527. The gloss finish provides a clean, washable surface and resists moisture, abrasion, and mild chemical exposure typical of industrial environments.
Requires a separate activator; compatible activators are part numbers 07836737, 00243543, 00243568, and 00243527. Designed for use on steel and concrete surfaces as a direct-to-metal rust-preventative mastic coating.
Surface preparation is critical before applying epoxy mastic - remove loose rust, mill scale, oil, and contaminants per standard surface prep protocols. Mix the activator with the base coat thoroughly per manufacturer mixing instructions before application; pot life is limited once the two components are combined. Apply within the stated temperature range of 50 degrees F to 120 degrees F and avoid application during rain or high humidity. Allow the full 72-hour recoat dry time before applying a second coat.
