The RUST-OLEUM 9192402 is a two-component, direct-to-metal (DTM) epoxy mastic coating formulated for high-performance protective finishes on metal, concrete, and a variety of other substrates. This 1-gallon unit delivers a tough, chemically resistant surface in a single coat, making it a practical choice for industrial maintenance and commercial facility work. The system uses a convenient 1:1 mixing ratio, eliminating the need for separate measuring equipment on the job. It is available in white gloss finish and ships as the base component, with activators ordered separately.
This coating is used in industrial, commercial, and institutional settings where long-term corrosion and chemical resistance are required. Typical applications include structural steel, equipment housings, concrete floors, and facility interiors subject to chemical exposure or heavy abrasion. Four activator options allow installation across a range of temperature conditions and service environments, including immersion in fresh or salt water. The product meets USDA requirements for incidental food contact and is accepted for use in federally registered Canadian food facilities, making it suitable for food processing and institutional kitchen environments.
Designed for use with RUST-OLEUM 9100 System activators, sold separately. Suitable for application over prepared steel, aluminum, concrete, fiberglass, and other properly cleaned substrates. Not for use in potable water tanks.
Application is performed by coating or painting contractors and maintenance professionals familiar with two-component epoxy systems. The base and activator must be combined at the specified ratio before use; pot life varies by activator selected. Surface preparation — including cleaning, degreasing, and profile verification — is required prior to application for proper adhesion and warranty coverage. Follow all applicable local VOC regulations and ventilate the work area adequately during mixing and application.
