The RUST-OLEUM 9132 is a gallon-sized, interior oil-based premium polyurethane wood finish with a satin sheen. It is formulated to beautify and protect all types of interior wood surfaces, forming a durable clear coat that resists scratches, stains, and household chemicals. The fast-dry formula reduces downtime between coats, making it a practical choice for production finishing environments or multi-coat residential applications. This product is VOC compliant and meets South Coast Air Quality Management District requirements for select California counties — where required, substitute TV 776-045 for compliance. Finishing contractors, cabinetmakers, and flooring installers are the primary end users.
This finish is suited for residential and light commercial interior wood applications including hardwood floors, cabinetry, furniture, trim, and millwork. The oil-based formula penetrates wood grain to enhance natural color and depth while laying down a hard protective film. The satin finish level delivers a low-gloss appearance that minimizes surface reflectivity without a flat or matte look. It is applied by brush, roller, or wipe-on technique depending on the surface and project requirements.
Designed for use on all types of interior wood surfaces including hardwood flooring, furniture, cabinetry, trim, and millwork. Oil-based formula is compatible with oil-based stains and sealers; always verify inter-coat compatibility before applying over an existing finish system.
Application is typically performed by finish carpenters, flooring contractors, or cabinetmakers using brush, foam applicator, or lambswool applicator. Ensure the work area is well ventilated and free of open flames or ignition sources before and during application, as oil-based finishes are flammable. Allow each coat to dry fully per product label directions before recoating or light sanding between coats with fine-grit abrasive. Dispose of oil-soaked applicators and rags according to local fire safety codes to prevent spontaneous combustion risk.
