The RUST-OLEUM 203033 is a water-based inverted marking paint in the M1800 Series, designed for fast, accurate layout lines on pavement, grass, gravel, and other field surfaces. Dispensed through a 17 oz aerosol can held upside down, it delivers a clean matte caution yellow stripe with a coverage rate of 600 to 700 linear feet per gallon at a 1-inch stripe width. The formula operates in temperatures from 50 to 100 degrees F, making it suitable for most outdoor marking applications during standard working seasons. Contractors, utility locators, surveyors, and site crews use this paint to mark excavation boundaries, underground utility corridors, and construction layouts.
This marking paint is used on job sites where clear, high-visibility ground markings are required. Caution yellow color is widely used in utility and construction environments to indicate general caution zones or specific utility lines depending on local marking conventions. The water-based chemistry reduces cleanup complexity and keeps the solvent-like odor to a manageable level in open-air conditions. A VOC content of 566 g/L should be evaluated against local air quality regulations before use in restricted areas.
Designed as an inverted aerosol marking paint suitable for use on pavement, turf, dirt, gravel, and similar unprepared outdoor surfaces common to construction, utility, and survey marking applications.
Apply by holding the can inverted and directing the nozzle toward the target surface. Shake well before use and test spray pattern on a scrap surface before marking critical lines. Ensure ambient and surface temperatures are within the 50 to 100 degrees F operating range for proper adhesion and flow. Use in well-ventilated outdoor conditions and verify VOC compliance with applicable local or state air quality regulations before use in restricted zones.
