Russound ic-820t 8 Inch 2-way In-wall Speaker

Product Description

The RUSSOUND ic-820t is an 8-inch 2-way in-wall speaker designed to deliver full stereo playback from a single enclosure. It accepts separate left and right audio inputs, routing each channel to dedicated tweeters and dual voice-coil woofers housed in one cabinet. This makes it a practical solution for rooms where running two discrete speakers is not feasible, including larger living spaces and areas with high ceilings. Licensed HVAC, electrical, and low-voltage contractors, as well as audio installation specialists, typically handle the rough-in wiring and final trim-out for installations of this type.

The ic-820t is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a single-point stereo source is needed without the footprint of separate left and right speaker enclosures. Typical install scenarios include living rooms, open-concept spaces, covered outdoor rooms with finished ceilings, and commercial waiting areas. The speaker handles both channels of an audio source independently through its dual voice-coil woofer design, preserving stereo imaging from one installation point.

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style single-point stereo in-wall speaker compatible with standard stereo amplifiers and receivers that provide discrete left and right speaker outputs.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage or audio systems technician familiar with in-wall speaker rough-in practices. De-energize all circuits in the work area before cutting the wall opening or pulling speaker wire. Follow local building codes regarding in-wall wiring, including the use of CL2 or CL3 rated cable where required. Do not paint the speaker cone or tweeter elements; only the grille surface is suitable for painting.
