The ROTOR CLIP SH262ST PA B100 is an external retaining ring designed to secure components on a shaft by seating into a precision-machined groove. It fits a 2-5/8 inch (2.625 inch) shaft diameter with a groove diameter of 2.481 inches. Made from SAE 1060-1090 carbon steel with a phosphate finish, this ring provides reliable axial retention in high-load mechanical assemblies. The phosphate coating offers baseline corrosion resistance and improves lubrication retention during service. Machinists, millwrights, and maintenance technicians working on rotating equipment, drive shafts, and bearing assemblies are the primary installers of this fastener type.
This retaining ring is suited for industrial and commercial mechanical applications where external shaft retention is required. Typical use cases include electric motors, gearboxes, pumps, and conveyor drive components where axial movement of mounted parts must be prevented. The ring seats into a groove cut to a width of 0.086 inches and a depth of 0.072 inches. Its free outside diameter of 3.3 inches and ring thickness of 0.078 inches make it compatible with standard external groove profiles at the 2-5/8 inch shaft size.

Do not over-spread the ring during installation, as exceeding the elastic limit will compromise retention force.
