The ROTOR CLIP SH-75ST ZD is an external retaining ring designed to secure components on a 3/4-inch (0.750-inch) shaft. Manufactured from SAE 1060-1090 high-carbon steel with a yellow zinc dichromate finish, it resists corrosion while maintaining the hardness required for reliable axial retention. The ring seats in a 0.704-inch groove diameter and measures 0.042 inches in thickness, providing a low-profile yet robust fastening solution. Licensed plumbers, millwrights, mechanical contractors, and industrial maintenance technicians install this type of ring in rotating assemblies, shafting, and mechanical drive components where a removable axial stop is required.
This external retaining ring is suited for use on 3/4-inch shafts in both light commercial and industrial mechanical assemblies. Typical applications include pump shafting, gear assemblies, motor output shafts, and other rotating or sliding components where axial positioning must be maintained without threading or welding. The zinc-plated finish makes it appropriate for environments with moderate moisture exposure. Minimum order quantity is 100 pieces.
Designed as an OEM-style external retaining ring for 3/4-inch shafts requiring a groove diameter of 0.704 inches and a groove width of 0.046 inches in standard mechanical assemblies.
External retaining rings of this type are installed and removed using dedicated retaining ring pliers rated for the correct ring diameter — using improper tools risks deforming the ring or damaging the groove. Ensure the shaft and groove are free of burrs, debris, and corrosion before installation. Depressurize or de-energize any assembly before servicing components that use retaining rings for axial retention. Follow applicable machinery safety standards and equipment manufacturer procedures when disassembling and reassembling shaft assemblies.
