The ROTOR CLIP SE-74ST ZD is an external E style retaining ring designed for 3/4 inch shaft diameter applications. The ring seats in a precision-machined groove and provides axial retention of components on the shaft without requiring threads or welding. Manufactured from SAE 1060-1090 steel with a yellow zinc dichromate finish, it delivers hardness in the 47-52 HRC range and corrosion resistance suitable for industrial and mechanical service environments. Ring thickness is 0.05 inches and groove width is 0.056 inches. Mechanical technicians, millwrights, and maintenance professionals install this type of fastener across a wide range of rotating equipment assemblies.
This retaining ring fits shafts with a 3/4 inch (19.05 mm) diameter and is sized for a groove diameter of 0.625 inches. It is used in residential and commercial mechanical assemblies wherever a compact, three-prong E style ring is required for external shaft retention. Typical applications include motors, pumps, gearboxes, and similar rotating or reciprocating shaft assemblies in HVAC, plumbing, and general industrial equipment. Free diameter is 0.616 inches and free outside diameter is 1.0 inch.
Designed for external installation on 3/4 inch diameter shafts with a groove diameter of 0.625 inches machined to SAE specifications. Suitable as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation retaining ring wherever an E style external ring is specified for this shaft size.
Installation requires external retaining ring pliers appropriate for E style rings. Ensure the shaft groove is clean, free of burrs, and dimensioned to the specified groove width and depth tolerances before seating the ring. Wear eye protection during installation and removal, as retaining rings can release stored energy if the tool slips. Follow all applicable equipment lockout and tag-out procedures before servicing any assembly containing this ring.
