The ROTOR CLIP KG-75ST OIL is a steel internal spiral retaining ring designed to seat in a machined groove inside a bore and provide axial retention of components such as shafts, pins, or bearings. Built from SAE 1060-1090 high-carbon steel with an oil finish for corrosion resistance during storage and installation, this ring is engineered for precise fit in a 0.75-inch bore. The ring carries a thrust load capacity of 1,220 pounds at the groove safety factor and 3,790 pounds at the ring safety factor, making it suitable for moderate-to-heavy axial load applications. Machinists, maintenance technicians, and assembly professionals install this ring using standard spiral ring pliers.
This retaining ring is used in industrial assemblies, mechanical subassemblies, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and similar equipment where a compact, flush internal retention method is required. The spiral design allows installation without special snap-ring pliers with ear clearance, making it well suited for confined bore environments. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units, appropriate for production assembly, MRO stocking, and repair applications across manufacturing and mechanical service trades.
Designed as an OEM-style internal spiral retaining ring for use in machined bores with a nominal 0.75-inch inside diameter and a groove width of 0.039 inches, suitable for standard retention applications in industrial and mechanical assemblies.
Installation is performed by machinists or mechanical technicians using spiral retaining ring installation tools appropriate to the bore diameter. Ensure the bore groove dimensions match the specified groove width and depth before installation. De-energize and lock out all equipment before servicing any assembly containing retaining rings. Do not reuse a ring that has been removed, as the spiral geometry may be distorted.
