The ROTOR CLIP KG-137ST OIL is a steel internal spiral retaining ring designed to seat in a machined groove inside a bore to retain components axially within an assembly. With a 1.375-inch bore diameter and a ring thickness of 0.05 inches, this ring exerts uniform radial pressure around the groove wall for consistent holding force. The oil finish provides baseline corrosion resistance during handling and storage. It is sized for a groove width of 0.056 inches and a groove depth of 0.043 inches, and it carries a thrust load capacity of 4,180 pounds at the groove safety factor and 9,070 pounds at the ring safety factor. Machinists, maintenance technicians, and mechanical assemblers install this type of ring in production and MRO environments.
This internal spiral retaining ring is suited for use in rotating shafts, hydraulic cylinders, gearboxes, pumps, and other assemblies where a permanent or semi-permanent bore-groove retention solution is required. The spiral design allows installation without a gap in the ring face, distributing load more evenly than a standard single-turn snap ring. It is appropriate for both light industrial and heavy mechanical applications where the bore inside diameter measures 1.375 inches and groove geometry matches the specified tolerances.
Designed as an OEM-style internal spiral retaining ring for assemblies with a 1.375-inch bore diameter, a groove width of 0.056 inches, and a groove depth of 0.043 inches. Verify bore and groove dimensions against the ring specifications before installation.
Installation is performed by mechanical assemblers or maintenance technicians using spiral ring installation tools appropriate for the bore diameter. Power down and de-energize any equipment before servicing components retained by this ring. Inspect the groove dimensions carefully before installation to confirm they fall within the specified tolerances, as an out-of-tolerance groove can reduce load capacity or cause ring failure. Do not reuse a ring that has been removed, as the material may have deformed.
