The ROTOR CLIP HO-75ST ZD is a heavy-duty internal snap retaining ring engineered for secure axial retention of components within bored housings. Manufactured from SAE 1060/1090 spring steel with a zinc finish, this ring seats in a machined internal groove to lock bearings, shafts, and assemblies against axial movement. At 0.035 inches thick with a free outer diameter of 0.831 inches, it is sized for a 3/4-inch bore. Licensed HVAC technicians, machinists, and maintenance professionals install this ring in high-load mechanical assemblies where dependable retention is critical. Thrust load capacity reaches 1,460 pounds at the groove safety factor and 3,045 pounds at the ring safety factor.
This internal snap ring is suited for use in residential and commercial mechanical assemblies including electric motor housings, pump bodies, gearboxes, and rotating equipment. It fits bores designed to accept a 0.039-inch-wide groove with a 0.023-inch groove depth, making it appropriate for precision-machined housings where groove tolerances are held tight. Installation is common in HVAC equipment, fluid handling systems, and general industrial machinery where axial load must be controlled without threaded fasteners.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation internal retaining ring for any precision-machined 3/4-inch bore housing with a groove width of 0.039 inches and groove depth of 0.023 inches conforming to standard internal snap ring groove specifications.
Internal snap rings require internal snap ring pliers for proper installation and removal; using incorrect tools risks distorting the ring or damaging the groove. Shut down and de-energize any equipment fully before servicing assemblies that contain retaining rings. Inspect the bore groove for burrs or dimensional non-conformance before seating the ring. Confirm the ring is fully seated in the groove around its entire circumference before returning the assembly to service.
