The ROTOR CLIP HO-62ST MCD is a steel internal snap retaining ring designed to secure components within a bored housing by seating in a machined groove. With a 0.625-inch bore diameter and a ring thickness of 0.035 inches (0.89 mm), this ring delivers reliable axial retention in compact assemblies. The cadmium finish provides corrosion resistance in demanding environments. Thrust load capacity reaches 1,050 pounds at the groove safety factor and 2,507 pounds at the ring safety factor. Manufactured to Military Specification standards, this ring is suited for MRO, OEM, and defense-adjacent maintenance applications installed by machinists, mechanical technicians, and equipment assemblers.
This retaining ring fits applications requiring a 0.625-inch internal bore ring with a groove width of 0.039 inches and a groove depth corresponding to a 17.63 mm free outer diameter. It is appropriate for use in precision mechanical assemblies where groove tolerances are tight and axial load requirements are defined. The military specification ratings make it a strong candidate for aerospace-adjacent, defense, and industrial equipment maintenance where certified hardware is required.
Meets Military Specifications MS 16625-1025, MS 16625-1050, MS 16625-1062, MS 16625-1075, MS 16625-1087, MS 16625-1100, MS 16625-1125, MS 16625-1137, MS 16625-1150, MS 16625-1162, and MS 16625-1187. Also conforms to SAE 1060-1090, UNS G10600-G10900, and ISO 13485:2016 standards.
Internal snap retaining rings are installed and removed by machinists or mechanical technicians using internal snap ring pliers sized to the ring tips. Always de-energize and lock out equipment before servicing any assembly containing retaining rings. Confirm groove diameter, groove width, and groove depth match the ring specifications before installation. Inspect the groove for burrs or damage that could affect ring seating and load capacity.
