The ROTOR CLIP HO-62SS MPS is a stainless steel internal snap retaining ring engineered for precision retention applications requiring corrosion resistance and high thrust load capacity. Manufactured from 15-7 Grade 632 stainless steel, this ring seats into an internal groove within a bore to axially retain components such as bearings, shafts, and pins. It carries a groove safety factor thrust load rating of 1,050 pounds and a ring safety factor thrust load rating of 2,507 pounds. The Rockwell 30N hardness range of 63 to 69.5 confirms suitability for demanding mechanical environments. Licensed machinists, maintenance technicians, and MRO professionals working in industrial, military, and precision assembly settings are the primary installers.
This retaining ring is designed for use in 5/8 inch bore diameter applications. The 0.039 inch groove width and 0.035 inch ring thickness make it compatible with precisely machined internal grooves. It meets multiple military specifications including MS 16625-4037, MS 16625-4050, MS 16625-4062, MS 16625-4075, MS 16625-4087, MS 16625-4100, MS 16625-4125, MS 16625-4137, MS 16625-4150, MS 16625-4162, and MS 16625-4187. It also conforms to AMS-5529, UNS S15700, and ISO 13485:2016 standards, making it appropriate for aerospace, medical device, and defense assembly work.
Designed for internal groove installation in 5/8 inch bore diameter assemblies. Groove diameter tolerance is -0.0020 to 0.0020 inches. Verified against military specifications MS 16625-4037 through MS 16625-4187 as listed above.
Internal snap retaining rings of this type are installed and removed using internal snap ring pliers; use the correct plier tip size to avoid deforming the ring. Always de-energize and de-pressurize the assembly before servicing any retained component. Inspect the groove for burrs, debris, or dimensional non-conformance before installation, as improper groove finish can reduce thrust load capacity. Refer to applicable military or engineering specifications for groove machining requirements prior to assembly.
