The ROTOR CLIP HO-50SS MPS is a stainless steel internal snap retaining ring designed for use in precision mechanical assemblies requiring a reliable axial retention solution. Made from 15-7 Grade 632 stainless steel with a Rockwell 30N hardness of 63 to 69.5, this ring seats into a machined groove inside a bore to retain shafts, pins, or other components against axial movement. It carries a ring safety factor thrust load of 2010 pounds and a groove safety factor of 510 pounds. Licensed machinists, millwrights, and mechanical assembly technicians are the typical installers for this type of fastener in both industrial and military-grade applications.
This internal retaining ring fits a 0.5 inch bore diameter and is specified to military standards, making it suitable for defense-related assemblies, precision industrial equipment, and OEM mechanical subassemblies where material traceability and dimensional conformance are required. The ring profile includes a groove width of 0.039 inches and a ring thickness of 0.035 inches. It meets AMS-5529 and ISO 13485:2016 standards and is intended for use wherever a compact, corrosion-resistant internal ring is called for in demanding service environments.

Internal snap rings require internal snap ring pliers sized to match the ring diameter. Shut down all power and relieve any mechanical load on the assembly before disassembling the bore. Ensure the groove dimensions conform to specified tolerances before seating the ring to avoid deformation or improper retention.
