The ROTOR CLIP HO-37ST PA is a heavy-duty internal snap retaining ring designed to secure components within a bored housing by seating in a precision-machined internal groove. Manufactured from 1060/1090 spring steel with a phosphate finish, this ring delivers reliable axial retention in assemblies where shaft or bore retention is critical. With a 0.375 inch bore diameter and a free outer diameter of 0.415 inches, the HO-37ST PA is engineered to precise dimensional tolerances and carries a thrust load capacity of 1,066 pounds at the ring safety factor and 350 pounds at the groove safety factor. It is installed and removed using standard internal snap ring pliers.
This internal retaining ring is suited for light-to-medium duty mechanical assemblies found in HVAC equipment, pump housings, gearboxes, electric motors, and similar manufactured components. It is commonly used in both original equipment manufacturing and field repair applications where a compact, low-profile axial retention solution is required inside a bored housing. The phosphate finish provides a degree of corrosion resistance suitable for controlled-environment and light-industrial service.
Designed as an OEM-style internal retaining ring for bored housings with a 0.375 inch bore diameter and a groove width of 0.029 inches. Confirm groove diameter tolerance of -0.0020 to 0.0020 inches and groove depth of 0.011 inches before installation.
Installation and removal must be performed using internal snap ring pliers sized for this bore diameter. De-energize and lock out any equipment before servicing assemblies that contain this retaining ring. Verify that the bore groove dimensions match the ring specifications prior to installation, as improper groove fit can compromise thrust load capacity. This ring is typically installed by millwrights, HVAC technicians, pump mechanics, or assembly technicians working to applicable equipment service standards.
