The ROTOR CLIP HO-37ST MCD is a steel internal snap retaining ring designed to secure components within a bored housing by seating in a machined groove. With a 0.375-inch bore diameter and a cadmium finish over SAE 1060-1090 steel, this ring provides corrosion resistance and high surface hardness. Ring thickness measures 0.025 inches, groove width is 0.029 inches, and the ring carries a thrust load capacity of 350 pounds at the groove and 1,066 pounds at the ring itself (based on respective safety factors). It meets Military Specification MS 16625-1037, making it a fit for defense, aerospace, and other high-specification assemblies.
This internal retaining ring is used in applications where a bore-mounted ring must resist axial movement of a shaft, bearing, or mating component seated inside a housing. Typical installations include hydraulic actuators, gearboxes, pump housings, and precision mechanical assemblies requiring a military-grade fastening solution. Licensed machinists, mechanical assemblers, and maintenance technicians working in MIL-SPEC environments are the primary installers. The ring is sold individually but requires a minimum order quantity of 100 units per transaction.
Designed as an OEM-style internal retaining ring for bored housings requiring a 0.375-inch bore diameter groove per Military Specification MS 16625-1037.
Internal snap retaining rings require proper snap ring pliers sized for internal rings — using the wrong tool risks distorting the ring or damaging the groove. Ensure the bore groove dimensions match the ring specifications before installation; groove width and depth tolerances directly affect thrust load performance. Inspect the groove for burrs or damage before seating the ring. Follow applicable military or industry assembly standards for the host system when torque or preload requirements are specified elsewhere in the assembly drawing.
