The ROTOR CLIP HO-175SS MPS is a stainless steel internal snap retaining ring designed for precision retention applications requiring military-grade performance. Built to a 1.75-inch bore diameter, this ring seats into a machined groove to axially retain components within a housing or bore. It is manufactured from 15-7 Grade 632 stainless steel and meets Military Specification MS 16625-4175. Ring thickness is 1.57mm (0.062 inches), groove width is 1.73mm (0.068 inches), and groove depth is 1.37mm. Hardness is rated at Rockwell C 44-51. Internal snap retaining rings are installed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians using snap ring pliers rated for internal rings of this bore size. Always power down or depressurize the system before disassembly. Verify groove dimensions against the specified groove width tolerance of 0.000 to 0.004 inches and groove diameter tolerance of -0.005 to 0.005 inches before installation. Do not over-compress the ring during installation, as deformation beyond design limits will reduce load capacity.
