The ROTOR CLIP HO-150SS MPS is a heavy-duty internal snap retaining ring engineered for precision retention applications in demanding mechanical assemblies. Manufactured from 15-7 Grade 632 stainless steel, this ring seats in a machined internal groove to axially retain shafts, pins, or sub-assemblies within a bore. It is built to military specification standards and is suited for aerospace, defense, industrial, and marine environments where corrosion resistance and high load capacity are critical. Qualified technicians and machinists working with precision assemblies or MIL-spec components are the primary installers of this ring. The ring carries a thrust load capacity of 10,708 pounds at the ring safety factor and 6,000 pounds at the groove safety factor.
This internal snap ring is designed for use in bores measuring 1.5 inches in diameter. It is applicable in residential and commercial mechanical systems, industrial equipment, pump assemblies, motor housings, and any precision bore application requiring a secure axial stop. The 15-7 Grade 632 stainless steel construction makes it especially well suited for wet, corrosive, or high-temperature service environments. With a Rockwell C hardness of 44-51, it maintains its retention force under significant load cycling and thermal variation. This part meets AMS-5529, UNS S15700, and ISO 13485:2016 standards.
Designed for installation into internal grooves in bores with a 1.5-inch nominal diameter. Groove width is 0.056 inches (1.42mm) and groove depth accepts a ring thickness of 0.05 inches (1.27mm). Compatible with applications requiring military specification snap rings per MS 16625-4037 through MS 16625-4187.
Internal snap rings of this type are installed and removed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians using internal snap ring pliers sized to the ring diameter. Always relieve system load and de-energize or depressurize the assembly before servicing retaining rings. Inspect the groove for burrs, corrosion, or dimensional deviation before seating the ring to ensure full groove engagement and rated thrust load performance. Never reuse a ring that has been over-expanded or shows signs of deformation.
